Tix 8.4.2

Significant minor version update.

1. Fully updated to support Tcl 8.4+. Tcl 8.4 is now the minimum required version.
2. New TEA (Tcl Extension Architecture) based build system.
3. tix initstyle added to separate the inclusion of Tix (via package require Tix) from any change to the system.

1. Beginning CONST84-ification of the code. The aim is to have the code fully CONSTified for 8.1.5 final. Patches welcome!
2. Backport of 8.2.0b3 C code fixes (except NBFrame.c).
3. Improved support for Tcl namespaces and Itcl.
4. There are reports of a panic with tk8.4.1 due to Tk bug ID 644409 that needs to be resolved.

Tix 8.1.4

Tix 8.1.3

1. Improved lib/pref/WmDefault.* files, a Package for making Tix apps use the CDE/GNOME/KDE/Windows scheme

Tix 8.1.2

Bugfix release.

1. Added lib/pref/WmDefault.* files, a Package for making Tix apps use the CDE/GNOME/KDE/Windows scheme
2. Many minor bug fixes to the library files.
3. Removed font and color overrides from the demos, so that the native look and feel would be preserved.
4. Updated to Tix.py to the Python 2.2 version - Tix is now a part of the Python standard library.
5. Updated README files to say that Tix is supported under 8.3.3.

Tix 8.1.1

1. Added tixDebug procedure. To activate debugging messages, use
   tix configure -debug
2. Minor bug fixes.
3. Bulletproofed ComboBox.tcl against a bug showing up under Python.
4. Fixed Windows to properly handle TCL_STORAGE_CLASS with USE_TCL_STUBS
5. Fixed TkConsole declarations in tixWinMain.c
6. Added winDumpExts.c for 8.3 - should change to use Tcl 8.3's method.
7. Rewrote the patches to Tkinter.py so it will work with or without Tix .
8. Updated README files to say that Tix should now build under 8.3, but it's not "supported" in that it hasn't been tested on it yet.

Tix 8.1.0

1. Preliminary Python support for Python 2.0. It can be compiled under Unix, or Windows using MS VC++ 4.x 5.x and 6.x.
2. Makefile changes to support Tcl 8.0, 8.1 8.2.
